Pierce & Mandell: A Proud Sponsor of A Shot For Life (ASFL)

A Shot For Life (ASFL) is a nonprofit organization that uses sports as an outlet to fund cancer research, specifically to support Dr. William Curry's Cancer Research Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. Since 2011, ASFL has funded Dr. Curry’s immunotherapy projects, which have been published in The New England Journal of Medicine.

Each year, ASFL hosts a 24-hour marathon basketball event, “The Gauntlet”, meant to be loosely symbolic of the struggle that cancer patients often endure in their fight against cancer. Pierce & Mandell Paralegal, Marcus Gadsden, played all 24 hours and survived The Gauntlet after shooting a very high percentage of baskets with his team.

Pierce & Mandell was proud to sponsor ASFL in 2025 and to support impactful cancer research. The 2025 Gauntlet raised $312,000 for Dr. Curry's Cancer Research Lab.
