Dennis is a shareholder of Pierce & Mandell, P.C. A civil litigator who practices in state and federal courts, Dennis represents both individuals and business entities in a variety of matters, with particular focus on personal injury litigation (wrongful death and traumatic brain injury cases), construction defect litigation, general liability insurance defense, and business litigation. In addition to trial work, Dennis has worked with a number of national insurers on complex policy coverage matters.
Dennis was a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph P. Nadeau of the New Hampshire Supreme Court from 2001 to 2002, and was also a law clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court from 2000 to 2001.
Dennis was repeatedly recognized as a “Rising Star” from 2011 through 2014, and honored to be awarded the “Super Lawyer” designation from 2015 through 2022, a recognition reserved for the top 5% of attorneys in the Commonwealth. Dennis was also named a “Top Lawyer” by Boston Magazine in both 2021 and 2022. He also is privileged to have been awarded the highest “AV Preeminent” peer review rating afforded by Martindale-Hubbell. Dennis is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and former Trustee of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation. Dennis also proudly serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Natural Resources Trust of Easton.
Representative Matters
- With his partner, Bob Pierce, Dennis successfully represented two men in a negligent security claim against a well-known Boston bar after both clients were shot by a bar patron. The clients’ claims were settled for $750,000 and $100,000, respectively.
- Dennis represented a veteran involved in a serious automobile accident when the vehicle he was operating was struck by a utility truck. The client sustained life threatening injuries requiring life to flight to a Boston area hospital. The case was settled for a significant six figure sum representing all of the available insurance.
- Dennis has successfully represented a number of persons who have suffered serious injuries, including traumatic brain injury, as a result of porch and balcony railing collapses, each time resulting in significant six figure settlements.

Dennis has successfully represented the elderly victims of nursing home negligence in serious bodily injury cases, and the Estates of those elderly victims in wrongful death matters.

Dennis represents construction and industrial clients in worksite/work place wrongful death and catastrophic injury claims.
- Dennis represents contractors and subcontractors in large scale, complex construction defect and collection matters.
- Dennis assisted in the successful representation of a plaintiff in a breach of contract action arising out of a stock purchase agreement. After a four day trial in the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire, the plaintiff was awarded more than $10 million.
- Dennis represented a subcontractor in a claim brought by a general contractor in which it was alleged that the subcontractor's failure to complete its work had resulted in damages in excess of $700,000.00. The matter was settled with the general contractor releasing all claims and paying the subcontractor significant additional moneys for work completed.
- Representing a foreign client in Federal Court, Dennis successfully enforced a multimillion dollar foreign arbitral award against a large, local defense contractor.
