Pierce & Mandell was formed by Robert R. Pierce and William M. Mandell in June of 1995. Bob and Bill met at Boston College Law School, and after law school continued their professional relationship as associates at Widett, Slater & Goldman in Boston. Since 1997, Pierce & Mandell has been located at 11 Beacon Street, in the building commonly known as the Lawyers Building. The Lawyers Building was the original home of the Boston College Law School, where Pierce & Mandell's founders began their legal journey.
